Bobble Warmers

I tried a pattern that I found online that was similiar to these and the directions and stitches used were confusing, so I pulled it all out and made up my own. This size wrist warmer fits a few different people.

I used medium weight yarn for the wristwarmer and eyelash yarn for the extra at the bottom.

I used a bobble stitch in this project. My bobble stitch was 5 double crochets in the same stitch leaving the last loop of each dc on the hook. Then you yarn over and pull it through all six loops on hook, ch 1 to close it.

Starting with the wrist section.

  • ch 13 (to 18 depending on how long you want the wrist section), ch 1 and turn.
  • row 1.  sc in second ch from hook to the end of ch, ch 1 and turn.
  • repeat row 1 and complete 25 rows (or more depending on the wrist size)
  • sl st the first chained row to the end row lining it up, ch 1
  • turn wrist section inside out (now the right side is out) and sc around the ends of the wrist section, sl st into the first sc, ch 1, turn
  • sc around once more, sl st into the first sc, ch 1, turn
  • *4 sc, 1 bb* around, sl st into the first sc, ch 1, turn
  • sc around, sl st into the first sc, ch 1, turn

Use your judgement to place the bb evenly between the other bb stitches. This is what I did.

  • 2 sc *1 bb, 4 sc* around, sl st into the first sc, ch 1 turn
  • *sc around, ch 1, turn* ~ repeat this for 1 inch
  • This is where you make the thumb hole. Simply sc to where you want the hole and ch 5, sk 4 sts and continue on, don't forget to sl st, and ch 1, turn at end of row.
  • sc rows for another two inches or more if you want it longer. tie off and weave in all ends
  • For the contrasting yarn at the bottom~ tie on yarn, sc around once, tie off and weave in ends.
